All motor cars are to be fitted with a digital radio from 2014

It has just been announced that from 2014 all new cars are to be fitted with digital radios as standard. The motor industry has just signed up to adopt the technology in the next five years.

All car manufacturers have joined broadcasters with there support for the Government's legislature in its Digital Britain report, to switch away from AM and FM stations in 2015.

The Government believes that radio must move away from its analogue roots in order to offer move forward.

In order to get new content and greater functionality radio must move away from its analogue roots and start implementing DAB digital format.
