Half of motorists aged over 50 don’t check their cars oil level

A new survey published today has revealed that around 50 per cent of motorists aged over 50 don’t check their cars oil levels regularly and therefore risk engine failure to their vehicle.

A recent poll has found that around 7.5 million people don’t check their cars oil in their vehicles at least once a month. This is the recommended period as standard for checking your oil. In addition, around 1.9 million people never bother to check their oil too.

You should check your oil as often as you can otherwise motorists could face expensive engine repair bills when their engine fails.
