More People Not Saving

Results produced by the Nationwide Building Society for the month of July show that one in five adults are not saving any money.

Although 67 percent of people understand that they really should be saving money a lot of them are finding the pressures of day to day living mean this is simply not possible. Cost pressures leave consumers with less money in their pocket now and, without a change of lifestyle, they simply cannot afford to put money aside.

Although these are trying times for many people a Nationwide Building Society representative asked all non-savers to look at their income and expenditure in order to see where savings could be made. This could free up money that could then be put aside to build up a fund should it be needed in the future.
