Premiums Maybe Five Percent More Come December

Drivers should be prepared for their car insurance premiums to be about five percent more than they are now by the end of the year warns Admiral.

The first six months of the year has seen a rise of around two and a half percent and there is no expectation that this level of increase will falter in the second half. This is why Admiral are letting drivers know in advance that they should expect to see higher car insurance premiums next year.

Normally it is an increase in claims that drives up car insurance prices, though data provided by Admiral suggests this is not the case this time. Claim numbers seem to be around the same mark as before so the conclusion is that the cost of vehicle repairs has gone up, thus leading to an increased claim value.
