The AVCIS gets grant for combating vehicle crime

It has just been declared that the Association of Chief Police Officers' Vehicle Crime Intelligence Service or the (AVCIS) will be awarded £300,000 to help combating vehicle crime in the UK.

This money will go towards helping coordinate intelligence and work out the best ways of recovering motor cars. The company to date has recovered more than £14 million worth of stolen vehicles since it started in 2006.

AVCIS will also try to identify car scams in an attempt to stop more car crime taking place.
