What Makes An Entrepreneur

From discussions with business owners the Alliance and Leicester has found that most successful entrepreneurs are the first born in their family and usually have at least one sibling.

The Alliance and Leicester collated information gained from their existing business customers and saw that a little short of two thirds of them were the first born child in a family, with over eight out of ten of them having brothers or sisters. It is unsure how valuable this data is but it is certainly a talking point in the boardroom.

Successful business owners felt that personal traits such as being a good listener, being dependable and having consideration for others were vitally important to being successful. The Alliance and Leicester also found that one of the biggest keys to being successful is persistence.
