Motorist should check their tyres more often says RAC
The RAC is advising all motorists to check their tyre pressure more often this summer.
A recent study has found that over three million drivers could risk tyre problems if they don’t check the condition more frequently.
The survey found that a large majority of motorists did not know minimum legal tread depth for a cars tyre. It is in fact 1.6mm.
How do you know if you have damaged tyres? You need to look for tread separation and discolouration on the tyre.
Make sure you check your cars tyre pressure, condition and tread depth before you go out on any long distance trips.
