Top performing schools in the area can add value to your home says Nationwide
Nationwide house insurance states that by living close to a top performing primary school it could potentially increase your homes value by around eight thousand pounds.
Research by Nationwide suggests that if one of the schools in your area should achieve a ten per cent increase with their SATs scores, this will increase house prices in the area by just over three per cent.
The biggest increase for property owners was seen in schools; where just around 90 per cent of school pupils aged 11 received a level four in their SAT exams.
A spokesperson from Nationwide stated that by having a property located near a top performing school could potentially get an 11 per cent increase in your property to the average value of around nineteen thousand pounds when compared to the same property in a lower performance school.
This month, Nationwide improved their home and contents features, why not compare them against the rest of the home insurance providers.
